Jenny Nguyen, O.D.

Dr. Jenny Nguyen is a native Houstonian who earned her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Biology from University of Houston. While studying, she was working as an optometric technician and optician for a private practice, which sparked her interest in optometry. She then attained a Doctorate of Optometry from University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry.

Her rotations included Jacksonville’s Veterans Affairs Eye Clinic and a medical based private practice, this strengthened her skills not only in glasses and contacts; but in medical optometry. Dr. Nguyen specializes in glaucoma, diabetic, pediatric, specialty contact lenses, ocular disease and dry eye care. She also manages pre and post-operative care for patients who undergo cataract and LASIK surgery. Dr. Nguyen’s treatment philosophy is educating patients about their health conditions so they are best enabled to make informed decisions about their treatment regimen.

When Dr. Nguyen isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family and dog. She loves to travel and is a really big foodie! She finds cooking to be therapeutic and is always excited to try new dishes and recipes. Dr. Nguyen likes to stay healthy and fit by doing yoga and pilates, and has been picking up new hobbies such as water painting, pottery and being a plant mom.
